Making More Money
Its Easy if You're Ready to Take Action!

By Loral Langemeier (as seen on the Dr. Phil Show and website)

Everyday we have an internal conversation about money, consciously or subconsciously. That conversation impacts our ability to create a better financial future for ourselves. You created your current financial situation based on your beliefs, therefore to change the situation you need to adjust your relationship with money. Use these four steps to help you establish the right mindset to help you change your financial future!

1. Work on your mindset
The biggest problem with your money is YOU. Money does not have a mind of its own, nor is it moral or immoral. It's simply a tool that we use everyday. Many people say, "Money is the root of all evil." This is misquoted from the Bible. The actual quote is "The love of money is the root of all evil." Money itself is not good or bad. It simply reflects our values and our morality. We must begin to take responsibility for our use of money. If we're broke and can't pay our bills, we've made poor choices. We have chosen to live above our means or we have chosen to not create enough means to live. Either way, the problem is us. We can solve this problem by realizing a few key facts about money:
  • Spend less than you make or make more than you spend!
  • Money is abundant. Look around at the houses people live in and the cars they drive. You can do the same thing!
  • You deserve to do better then just "get by." You deserve to have more money. Read books that will help you see that you really can do better for yourself.
  • "Welcome wealth" into your life! When your feet hit the ground in the morning, tell yourself that you're going to make some money today and you're going to improve your wealth today. Always look for new o
2. Change your language-
The language that we use tells the story of our belief system-what we really believe about money deep inside. We must use the words that speak positive energy to others about money and its presence in our life. If we're always saying that we're broke and we cannot afford something, then we are sealing our fate. We are agreeing with the negative thoughts and causing that negative energy to surround us. Instead, we should use money magnet language that attracts money to us. Say things like, I am working on buying that _____ or I will be able to afford that _______ in a few weeks. Begin to state the positive of what you want to have and then act on it. You will be amazed at what a difference a few words can make in your life!

3. Surround yourself with the right people
It has been said, "We will be the same person we are today in 10 years from now except for the books we read and the people with whom we associate." The kind of people we surround ourselves with is vital to our financial success. It has also been said that, "your income will be the average of your 10 closest friends." So, what is your income and what would you like it to be? You have to really begin to listen to your friends and see how they think and talk about money. You may have to add some new friends to your list. Find new friends by joining networking groups or real estate clubs. Do whatever you have to do in order to upgrade to some friends that share your dreams. Don't continue to hang around people who pour cold water on your fire. You cannot let other people hold you back.

4. Take the right actions to gain success
The key to making more money and to being more successful financially is to take the right actions. Most people who have a lot of money had to work hard to get it. Very few wealthy people today inherited it or won the lottery. Wealthy people do things that un-wealthy people don't do. They spend time reading, going to workshops, doing research, putting plans together, and doing all kinds of business and money related projects. They don't waste their time watching TV, surfing the net, or playing computer games. Most average people waste so much time that they could be using to create ideas, relationships, or working on a business plan. Instead, most people spend their time doing useless activities or playing. How about you? What do you spend most of your free time doing? Are you wasting precious years of your life or are you maximizing your days and working hard to create more money for yourself and your family? You need to ask yourself everyday, "What can I do today… right now, to create personal and financial wealth?

Doing what it takes to make money is up to you. You can choose to control the money aspect of your life and do something different. It just takes one thing:

YOUR CHOICE!
