35.93% of Americans are Not At All Successful at Increasing Their Income. Why Not?

So we were on the phone with Loral the other night (she just go, go, goes and we are right there with her) and she had the greatest idea!

This statistic is absolutely stunning to me – and NOT in a good way!

Really, 35.93% of Americans CAN’T increase their income?

There’s no reason for that! Anyone can make cash, ANYONE.

This is just one of the nuggets we learned from the joint survey Live Out Loud did with Joseph Grenny’s company, Vitalsmarts. You might remember Joseph from his bestselling books or his appearance on the Yes! Energy Summit.

Ultimately, what we learned from the survey is that almost half (44.3%) of respondents identify starting a business as a key strategy to making more money.

Well, that’s in the right direction.

But that’s when they shoot themselves in the foot. The top two reasons identified for not starting a business are not enough capital and lack of a lucrative business idea.

The capital will come once you start making money for a low overhead idea. The idea is my team and I come in. We help with that all the time.

First, though, you HAVE to change the conversation. It’s not about saving, and finding capital, and planning and waiting. It’s about having the right mindset and taking action NOW (not later) to put cash in your pocket.

One of the reasons you aren’t getting what you want is because you aren’t asking for it. When you start asking “how can we” instead of wondering if you can, your whole result will shift. Stop slamming the door on opportunities and start saying yes now and then figuring out how. When you run into obstacles, say so what, now what? Don’t let it get to you. Things happen. So what, now what, build a bridge and get over it because you have money to make.
