“The Key To Success Is There Is No Key To Success”
People ask me all of the time: “Loral, what’s your key to success?”
Everyone is always so interested in what the one key ingredient is to breaking through ceilings, exploding your business, & living the life you want.
And tons of so-called experts out there are willing to share this “key to success” with you.
But I’ll be straight with you.
The key to success is there is no key to success.
As a business professional – human being for that matter – you have to be flexible, passionate, persevering, driven, adaptable, elastic, open-minded, tenacious, tolerant, motivated, willing, innovative, competitive…and so much more.
You see, since there is no key to success, you have to be willing to take what life gives you and mold it into what you want. You have to be malleable and open to adjust to what comes your way.
Not everything will go in your favor. At times, the world will mount up against you. Everything will seemingly go wrong.
There is no single KEY to success that will save you at this point…
What WILL get you through times like this is all of the qualities I mentioned above. What will help you not only survive, but THRIVE, out of situations like this is your understanding that there is not one single component that will drive your success. Your very nature and the qualities you possess are what drive your success. Your approach and perspective to live are what drive your success.

Rewarding my amazing sales team
So, I told my sales team a couple of weeks ago, that if they rocked it – and I mean ABSOLUTELY ROCKED IT – I would fly them privately in my personal plane from their home base in Utah to my home base in Tahoe to spend a week with me and some of my good friends. This week is HUGE for my company & I, as we’re hosting our 100th Big Table program, AND my birthday is this Tuesday, June 24…so, you know we were going to celebrate HUGE this week 😉
Well, what did my sales team do?…
Umm…TOTALLY ROCKED IT!!!! Beyond killed it!!!!
Each & every one of these guys earned their way on this plane to come relax with me & enjoy the Tahoe sun. Way to go, guys!!!!
I’m a huge believer in rewarding those who reward you. Gifting my sales team with a private flight & some fun in the sun was my little way of showing them I appreciate and recognize their hard work. They rock 🙂

LBT 100 – Huge Moment For Live Out Loud Community
Can’t believe it’s almost here…
Almost 2 decades ago, I started my Big Table program as a way to do everything I could to help aspiring, up-and-coming & experienced entrepreneurs create and expand their businesses. Through the years, I’ve been able to assemble an unbelievable array of skilled experts in key disciplines that every successful company & wealth-builder requires (such as leadership, marketing, sales, tax strategies, investment strategies, real estate, accounting, management & HR, just to name a few).
Thousands of people worldwide have gone through my Big Table program and tremendously accelerated their business as a result of it. It’s guided business owners to get more of what mostly everyone wants – time & money. It’s THE place to be for entrepreneurs – I’ve no doubt about that.
Each business owner who has gone through LBT has been a part of a “session.” This “session” pretty much denotes what “class” they’re in. So far, sessions 1-99 have gone off without a hitch.
The LBT program has grown & grown & grown thanks to the amazing instructors, coaches, & mentors I have on board, but most of all, thanks to the courageous & brave entrepreneurs who have graduated from the program…
And now, almost 2 decades later, we’re here – LBT 100! This Monday & Tuesday (June 23 & 24) is my LBT 100, and I CAN BARELY HOLD IN MY EXCITEMENT!
To top everything off, MY BIRTHDAY is on Tuesday, June 24…it’s going to be an amazing time!!!!!
This is such a huge accomplishment, not only for Live Out Loud, but for every single person who has played any role in our Big Table program. The instructors, the entrepreneurs, the discussion leaders, my staff – everyone has had a hand in building this from the ground up, & I’m very blessed to say that we’ve reached No. 100.
Amazing times…& amazingly blessed. Can’t wait!!!!!!

Marketing Mistakes to Avoid with Passive Income
Passive income is the best – by definition, it’s literally money that you make while doing nothing. These are typically products you sell online through automated sales funnels. Awesome, right?!
I’ve made millions in passive income in my life, but I’ve definitely learned that it’s equal parts science – setting up your shopping carts, marketing funnels, and sales follow ups the right way – and art – making sure people are able to find your pages, writing great sales copy that converts, and ensuring that your pages pop up first when people search on search engines for products related to your topic.
So as you see, on one hand, passive income is an objective term that covers a concrete set of topics. However, when it comes to the nuts and bolts, you can quickly find a wide range of tactics and advice.
So today, I want to cover some very basic marketing mistakes you’ll want to avoid when you start out with passive income.
Let’s begin with SEO. Search Engine Optimization is always a point of focus, no matter what kind of e-commerce you’re into. It’s also a very contentious topic, as well. While you can certainly spend years learning about nothing more than SEO (trust me, there’s more the SEO than ANYONE knows), the good news is that Search Engine Optimization isn’t everything. Just as, if not more, important is establishing yourself as an authority in your field and developing your brand. SEO is great when people don’t know who to go to in the industry. However, once you’ve established your business, it falls by the wayside. Authority and legitimacy never do.
SEO is certainly important. However, don’t get obsessed with keywords and nothing else. As keywords are so easy to plug in all over your website, many beginners focus on doing that and little more. The first problem is that search engines will not reward you for abusing keywords in the hopes of getting easy visitors. Secondly, backlinks may be even more important. This refers to websites that link to yours and, in doing so, add legitimacy to it.
Be careful about linking to different pages from within your website. Do it just enough that it makes navigation easy, but not so much that search engines think you’re trying to fool them into thinking they’re backlinks. If the latter happens, you’ll pay dearly.
With e-commerce, what’s gospel today can become heresy tomorrow. So it’s worth your while to pay for audits a couple times a year when your finances allow. Google and other companies online offer services that will objectively look over your website and let you know where you’re lacking and what you should change. This will ensure you’re always ahead of the curve.
A lot goes into a successful passive income business. However, if you can’t find customers online, there’s simply no way to succeed. When you’re first starting out, make sure you keep the above tips in mind to ensure you start out on the right foot.
Getting the most from your mentors
Getting mentors who were bigger, better and badder than me at an early age was probably the best business decision I ever made.
Seriously.
If you’re not around people who are playing a bigger game than you – you’re not in the right place.
But simply because you’re around the right people doesn’t mean you’re going to fully benefit from them if you don’t know the best course of action to take.
One of the best ways to get ahead in business is by finding someone to mentor you. A mentorship is more than just instruction; it’s an interactive relationship that provides you a firsthand education in what it takes to get ahead. However, if you don’t know what you’re doing, a mentorship can be a waste of time or the end to a friendship.
So always begin a mentorship with clear expectations. You may feel like it’s inappropriate to begin with a mentor by telling them what you expect, but this is far better than wasting their time because they never had a clue what you wanted from them. If your mentor is unable or unwilling to provide you with what you need, thank them for their time and look elsewhere.
While many people may volunteer to mentor you without any hopes of receiving anything in return, that’s no reason not to repay them in some way. Always be on the lookout for opportunities to show your gratitude. If you can think of a way to repay them, professionally, that will probably be very appreciated.
However, the best way to show your appreciation is by valuing their time. So, long before you take on a mentor, make sure it’s something to which you can truly dedicate yourself. Canceling a meeting every now and then is reasonable. Doing so constantly or showing up unprepared or uninterested will do more harm than good. You also need to be certain you have enough time outside of your meetings to follow their advice.
If time is not a problem for you, then perhaps you’re doing yourself a disservice by only taking on one mentor. There’s no rule that says you can only be mentored by one person at any given time. As long as you can give each mentor the time it takes to make the most out of the opportunity, take on as many as you can.
In order to get the most from a mentor, it’s important you have goals set out and that you plan far ahead in order to reach them. They should be made aware of these goals, as well. Don’t forget about their input. Part of being a mentor means helping you with your goals even when they concern the mentorship as well. Always view a mentorship as something you both have equal say in and you’ll get more from it in the long run.
Although a mentorship may seem like an easy enough thing to benefit from, you still have plenty of work to do.
But trust me, it’s so worth it.
And remember: If you’re the biggest fish in your pond…your pond is too small.
Cold calling vs. Inbound marketing
The Internet has brought with it too many advantages to count, especially if you’re a business.
Thanks to the digital age, you can now reach all kinds of customers all over the world. However, this doesn’t mean every company in the world is excited about giving up the standard ways they’ve become accustomed to using to accomplish things. If, like so many, you’ve had a tough time letting go of cold calling tactics, here are some reasons to finally move on to inbound marketing.
For one thing, inbound marketing simply costs less. Studies have shown that in order to get the exact same result, you only have to spend 60% as much on inbound marketing as you do on cold calling. In this economy, that should be enough to get you thinking about making the switch.
Another huge benefit is that it allows your salespeople to do what they’re best at: selling.
Whether this means over the phone or in some digital way, the result is still the same – namely, more sales. The problem with cold calling is you’re taking shots in the dark. Even the world’s best salespeople will come up empty handed the majority of the time when they’re essentially dialing random numbers and hoping for a warm reception.
One of the reasons inbound marketing makes life easier on your sales people is because customers do so much of the heavy lifting for them. Inbound marketing makes it possible for customers to research the products or services beforehand and get acquainted with them well before they ever speak with a salesperson. When they do, that time can be spent answering individual questions or otherwise putting the finishing touches on a successful sale.
Perhaps best of all, inbound marketing is working while you’re fast asleep and your salespeople are away. As it’s a predominantly digital option, you can rest assured that potential customers can access it at any hour, when it’s most convenient for them. So there’s never any real downtime where your marketing is concerned.
Lastly, inbound marketing doesn’t give your company a bad name. It’s not intrusive and annoying like most cold calls are. Considering how many calls an employee could make in a given day, it would be pretty easy for just one bad apple to give your company a worse reputation. Multiply this by however many cold callers you’ve hired, then over the course of a year and your choice should be a simple one. Inbound marketing doesn’t have a bad stigma attached to it for good reason.
So if you’ve been resistant to leaving cold calling in the past, hopefully this will be enough to convince you. Inbound marketing is by far a superior option, no matter how you look at it.
