When I joined Loral’s Big Table I was less than focused on creating wealth. I live in Colorado and building wealth was not a priority. Skiing, white water rafting, and spending as much time as possible outdoors consumed most of my time outside of my law practice. I get being an entrepreneur. I’ve worked for myself most of my life. It was the wealth building piece that I was short on, and the importance of team. Even though Theresa and I were happy, there was this small voice in the back of my head saying, “You should be paying more attention to your finances. Doesn’t have to be a big move to start, something simple like balancing your checkbook.”

Since that time, we moved from our home of eighteen years into a Victorian house which is now our home and place of business. The result is we no longer pay a mortgage along with rent for office space. We have started several businesses and invested in real estate, moving from single-family rentals to purchasing and renovating a large apartment building. Until recently we have doubled our net worth each year using the Live Out Loud wealth building strategies. Once the tremors in the current economy have settled down the opportunities for entrepreneurs — people like you — in the new economy will be enormous. The new economy will be safer, saner, and friendlier to the small business than ever before. It will be fertile ground for common people to create uncommon results.
