Last week I talked about creating a successful brand for your Cash Machine business. While branding is highly important the way you market your brand will determine how successful your brand will be. The idea behind a Cash Machine business is to get it up and running and creating new money immediately.
So what’s the best way to get the word out if you have limited funds?
First of all when it comes to spending money creating a Cash Machine you have to keep things in perspective. In other words don’t spend money for your business unless it will bring in more money, especially in the beginning. If you want to up grade your computer systems wait until you have your Cash Machine bringing in an income then invest in the fancy bells and whistles.
Secondly if you have the money to invest in marketing don’t scrimp. If you’re limited on funds in the beginning you’re not alone. Plenty of multi million dollar companies started out on shoe string budgets and you can do it too!
Here are a few suggestions for you if you need to start small.
Get a website or a blog!
This is pretty obvious but often overlooked in the beginning. There are ways to have a web presence with out breaking the bank. Think of it as your electronic business card. Offer a free report to entice people to provide you with their email address. Be an expert. Having their email addresses will make them preferred customers, offer special promotions to your list.
The internet is your friend!
The internet is a great place to start. Join in discussion forums that are centered around the product or service you are providing. Be careful not to spam. People tend to get irritated with pushy sales tactics in discussion forums. Try signing up with social media sites and get people interested in what you do. Create copy that will intrigue people, make them want to know more! CraigsList is also a very good resource. Get on the net, look around you’ll find tons of ways to get the word out!
Make a video and post it on YouTube.
This is free and very effective. Post a video that will tell people what you are doing. You can ask perspective clients to go to your You Tube page and take a look at your “commercial”. This is a great way to open the door to your angle.
Participate in joint promotions.
Find businesses in your area that are willing to cross promote services and products. If you are house cleaning for example, get in touch with the local beauty salon in the area you want to work in. Ask them if they would be willing to provide a flyer to their clients. Tell the salon owner you will leave a card behind after cleaning a home. You might even consider having a few different business cards in a nice neat package with a fresh cut flower or some other nice gesture that will compel them to look at what you left behind!
Ask for those referrals.
Your satisfied customers are your very best advertising. Don’t be shy ask them if they know anyone who would benefit from your product or service. Offer your customer an incentive for that information. You scratch their back and they scratch yours. Get it?
If you’re starting on a shoestring budget put all you can into marketing and you’ll see it paying off in no time. As your Cash Machine grows spend the money on marketing to keep that momentum. Stay on top of what works and what doesn’t. Track your results carefully. Get out there and get it done!
