19 Mar What Do You Want?
Last week we talked about the two kinds of people;
1.) The Creators, Generators, Expanders 2.) The Restrictors, Dieters
I hope it got you thinking about what kind of person you are. Lot’s of people see themselves as a Creator, Generator, Expander but continually fall back into the Restrictor Dieter pattern.
So what can you do to make sure you don’t fall into defeating patterns?
Most importantly you have to be VERY CLEAR as to what it is you want. That means where do you want to be in one year, three years, and five years? Many people get caught on this first step because they begin to focus more on the HOW. The fact is before you can even begin to figure out “how” you need to be clear on “what” it is you want.
Now remember when you are defining what you want, this isn’t Fantasy Island, at least not yet. Be realistic but don’t hold yourself back. There is a fine line here so be in tune with yourself and your skills and talents.
You also have to remember that not everyone is going to be on board with your decisions. The fact is that your friends and family may have negative things to say about your choices to create more wealth in your life. If this is the case, it’s time to start tuning them out. Period.
Once you’ve got a clear view on what it’s going to take to create the life you want, it’s time to start making it work. Here’s where the “how” comes in. You have to be willing to do what it takes. That means be in a cycle of continuous learning. Read books, participate in workshops, get a mentor / coach, join in on webinars… whatever it takes to feed your money making brain cells.
And yes you’re going to have to do some things you don’t really like at first. Many people have hang ups with certain aspects of creating a new Cash Machine. Marketing is a huge challenge for a lot of people but there’s help out there. Think team, if not from the start, then down the road when you can. You don’t have to do it alone, and you shouldn’t.
It’s important to remember that once you have your goals in motion you’ll find challenging activities are much easier than you anticipated. So be willing and open to things that are out of your comfort zone. You have to want it bad enough to make it happen.
Be willing to receive wealth in all its forms. Be open to new ways to generate knowledge and cash into your life. This is the time to finally be free of negative thinking when it comes to money. Accept nothing less than what you want.
To Your Wealth,
